Tracy has been specialising in VAT and Indirect Taxes for over 24 years. She began her career with H M Customs & Excise (now H M Revenue & Customs – HMRC) in 1991, before joining Ernst & Young in 1994, where she spent over six years. In 2001, she took up a position in industry with the leading household insurer Norwich Union (now Aviva) based in East Anglia. She spent five years there before returning to Big 4 practice with Ernst & Young in early 2006, in a Senior Manager role.

Since late 2009, Tracy has worked in smaller practice, including a period with Elysian Associates and time with LAVAT Consulting, initially as a Consultant and latterly as a Partner. Tracy also spent time in a Senior Manager role with Grant Thornton UK LLP. In this role, she led a regional team of tax specialists in developing the local practice.

Tracy rejoined LAVAT as a Partner in July 2014. She  continues in that role but is also leading the practice at Experas Limited.

During her career, Tracy has worked with a variety of clients, ranging from public sector to large multinational corporations, on a range of complex VAT issues including partial exemption, focussing on planning opportunities and addressing risk and compliance concerns. She also has a wealth of experience in providing training and addressing seminars and forums.
